Knowledge Sharing

The National Judicial Academy invites submissions from members of the legal fraternity and others for this section. The submissions should conform to the following editorial policy.

1. The main objective of this section is to provide a platform for those interested to share their knowledge and experience in the area of law. For this, the section welcomes submissions from Judges, lawyers, academics, law students as well as specialist from other disciplines.

2. The submissions may be in the form of articles/essay/review or note. The only consideration is that it should be scholarly in nature and must be on a subject falling in any one or more than one of the following clusters.

· Cluster I: Judging/Judicial Institutions
· Cluster II :Court Process and Dispute Settlement
• Cluster III: Public Law (Constitutional Law/Administrative Law/Governance)
· Cluster IV: Criminal Law
· Cluster V: Civil, Commercial and Economic Law
· Cluster VI: Personal Law (Family Law, Gender, Child and the Law)
· Cluster VII: Protection of Vulnerable Groups, Individual Rights and of Environment and Natural Resources
· Cluster VIII: International Law
· Cluster IX: Law, Society and Development
· Cluster X: Emerging Areas

All submissions should be in the electronic format (MS word document).Hard copies of submissions will not be considered for publication.

3. The Editorial board will review the submissions and only those submissions approved by the Board, will be published in this section. Previous publications by the author will not be a determining factor in selection of his/her submission for this section and all submissions will stand on an equal footing.

4. The Editorial Board, may after making the changes it thinks appropriate to the submission, revert the same to the author for his/her consent. However, the changes will not be of a nature that alters the idea propagated by the author through his/her piece. The author of the piece will take full responsibility for the opinion or idea expressed/propagated through the piece. On receiving due consent from the author of the piece, it will be published in this section.

5. All submissions must be the original work of the author. The submissions should not have been previously published elsewhere.

6. The copyright of the submission will vest with the National Judicial Academy and it is free to publish the submission elsewhere. The Author of the piece may also publish it elsewhere, but every such publication should acknowledge the fact that the National Judicial Academy was the first place of its publication. The moral right in the piece vests with the Author.

7. Publication of submissions in this section is not an assurance that the submission will also be published in any other publication of the National Judicial Academy. However, the Academy has the discretion to publish the submission in any of its publications.
